What Are Your Pacemaker And Implant Concerns?

Pacemakers and other active or passive implanted medical devices can be highly susceptible to electromagnetic fields. Because of this, legislation was introduced in the form of the Control of Electromagnetic Fields at Work Regulations (CEMFAW) 2016. This places more restrictive limits on the amount of EMF an employee with a pacemaker or other implant can be exposed to. We regularly perform ‘back to work’ EMF surveys for workers recently fitted with electronic medical devices such as pacemakers.
